Our team of Volunteers and Park Rangers team up to survey the beach beginning at sunrise each morning from April through October. The Survey Team diligently checks the beach for any signs of turtle activity, logging every single crawl, measurement, and detail. Each crawl that is determined by our experts to be a legitimate nest will then be screened, covered, and marked. After each nest has hatched out, they determine the number of hatchlings that made it to sea, and how many each nest contained. During the peak of the season, our team may be out on the beach for 4 hours or more, in the sun digging through tons of sand to complete these vital surveys.Contacts:
